Hi Condi,
a thought - a lot of kids are violent - video games blah music blah blah blah. School needs to be more like boot camp. Work those little puds into the ground day after day. Send them home exhausted. Hard labor of love. Make them garden, make them chop wood, make them do everything possible - PHYSICAL LABOR. HARD CORE!!! This is the only thing that Israel has done right - Kabutz system. Put 'em to work or get ready for more, younger, dropouts and more in school and out of school violence. Those are your choices - idle hands are indeed devil's playground. Data entry for the weak, handplowing fields for the strong, and no gas powered machines for any of them - all human powered. Shovels, wheelbarrows, and long hours. Make them earn their keep - no work, no eat!
